Starts slightly dull, and remains slightly dull through out, and by dull i mean unanimated stoic. However you feel the passion about his topic and that makes the talk. Makes attempt at humor. ( I thought it was funny but the crowd did not )
----- Although his topic is neither a need to know topic nor a life changing deep philosophical one, however it is interesting and he loves it and so it makes it a good ted talk.
He speaks on a very personal level. you feel as though you are old friends talking with him at his dinner table. It adds to the understanding of his speech.
---- However His speech has no point other than to educate the listener which although not a bad thing, makes for a slightly boring speech in and of itself.
